Farpoint Counterweight Set - 12 Inch Zhumell, Aptura, and other 12" Dobsonians
Farpoint Counterweight Set - 12 Inch Zhumell replace the push or locking screws on the mirror cell, making them a bolt-on addition for proper balancing. Machined from stainless steel, this set includes three 1-lb. counterweights for a 12" Zhumell.
The stock Zhumell telescope is balanced to accommodate a small eyepiece and red dot finder. Once heavier eyepieces and finders are added, the telescope becomes very front heavy. This “core” counterweight set properly balances the telescope for use with a large 2-inch eyepiece and a finder scope or Telrad.
If you need additional weight, you can add one or more additional 2 pound weights that slip over the 1 pound weights. Details here:
